1. Thermometer (100-101 deg is normal)

5. Toe Nail Clippers (do nails every 10 days until they
   are about 5 months, then every 6-8 weeks as adults)
6. Heartworm Medication (at 6 months from your vet)
   

General Info (example)

  12 weeks: Second distemper shot
  16 weeks+2 days: Third distemper shot and Rabies

Helpful Tips

• Joy Dishwashing Soap - A valuable item. Wash the pup with baby shampoo and add a little joy to the water. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. Joy kills ticks, fleas, spiders. Put Joy in a garden sprayer, attach hose and spray the whole yard. Joy kills insects, including aphids, but will not harm plants. I also wash the house down with it to get rid of spider webs, etc. And it makes the yard smell lemon fresh!
  
• Carrots – Large and raw. Will help keep the dog’s teeth clean while giving them something to do. Great for diets and makes their poop orange for easy pickup.
  
• A dollop of yogurt/day will keep good
  bacteria in the dog’s tummy and will help keep his breath fresh! (Usually just older dogs need help in this area.)
